JPEG is a visual report exploring how curation, as an activity, leaked from the four walls of museums and spread itself to a much less confined space — the internet. This self-devised project envisioned to merge online curation with its offline form, so as to add credibility to the first and keep the latter appealing for generations to come.
No Studio is an online workspace for an online workforce — a central, cloud-based destination for emerging fashion creatives seeking new opportunities, fruitful connections and global visibility. Here I purpose the virtualization of work to see the demise of demography; to eradicate the restrictions imposed by time, location and experience.
Proto- is born after a live project with renowned trend forecasting agency The:Future:Laborotory. Over eight months, we have dissected today's social, cultural, technological and economic climate to make informed predictions on an symbiotic future between man and machine. This process began with a macro trend forecast and culminated with the creation of a service to be launched in 2020.
Through Proto- we have concluded that, in the next 3 to 5 years, sound, taste, touch and smell will become as commonly interacted with as our sight. We propose the idea of Air, a search engine for the senses. Air offers a fully sensory, ubiquitous experience that revolutionizes the way we currently operate online, making what we do today, on image-based sites such as Instagram, seem archaic.
Diversity NOW! is a national student competition brought by All Walks in association with i-D magazine. The iniciative aims, in their own words, to "empower the next generation of creatives to create a fashion future that promotes a broader range of body and beauty ideals to truly celebrate individuality". My entry has won the Highly Commended Award for the zine category.
